Sharon Collins

I have been teaching Art for over 25 years. I love co-creating. I trained at the SF Art Institute and in the field with many community arts projects. I grew up in a family, where creativity was encouraged by my mother as a visual artist and my father, as an expert carpenter. As a child I was free to work in his garage drilling, hammering, and grinding. I worked for SFUSD setting art programs citywide as well training teachers. I previously worked in fashion and in the entertainment business, doing costume and set design. In my personal artwork, I’m interested in nature, magnification and experimenting in a variety of mediums. I have a studio at Sanchez Art Center and I’m a member of the Art guild of Pacifica.
