Carlotta Lincoln, who lives in Half Moon Bay, CA, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has lived and painted in France, England, Greece, Morocco, and Spain. She studied art in Copenhagen and later, traveling in Asia, was inspired by shrines and temples there. In California, she has been influenced by French artist and teacher Michele Cassou; by the “Vision Painting” workshops at Esalen Institute; and by an informal group of creative women who painted with wild abandon in a studio in the mountains above Santa Barbara. Her mandalas, shrines, and mixed media pieces have been exhibited in Copenhagen, Mallorca, Santa Barbara, San Francisco, and Half Moon Bay.
